Triple S is a Wholesale Distributor providing products to Companies who then sell to schools and businesses. The company need to replace their previous drupal members intranet portal and build something more robust with many custom features.
We built a solution that included uploading a spreadsheet of all members and creating accounts for each of them, which we then provided a link to each member so that they would be able to set their own password. Members do not ever see the WordPress admin area, they login and have a full member experience on the front-end which includes a Forum, order screens, directories of suppliers and members, and much more.
A big part of this particular job was migrating a database of several thousand products from their NetSuite system and importing them to the new database. We decided to move the products into an eCommerce system for WordPress called WooCommerce, even though the company decided not to allow any ordering of products through the website at this time. We configured the system to showcase all products based on the designs we came up with, but we’ll have a convenient method to move into selling at some point in the future should the client want the ability to sell directly through their members portal.
The standard import process for products would not have included all necessary data and affiliation with the proper “Supplier” brand. To work through this challenge, our team built a custom import solution to allow the client to create spreadsheets with a lot of detailed information including download links. The convenient tool allows re-importing the same data which uploads existing entries as opposed to mistakenly creating duplicates.
All-in-all it was a great experience coming up with solutions to this customer’s challenging needs and we’re thrilled to be moving forward with a 2nd large-scale project for Triple S at the time of these notes.
Total Power International are a power supply distributor and producer who sell wholesale for a variety of industries. They were looking for a solution to establish a modern presence and develop their voice as a brand. We took an approach that included assisting in the production of a new logo, and a modern sleek website with personality. The new website offers advanced custom filtering so users can filter down to any category of hundreds of power supplies that we manually migrated into the new website, and find a perfect unit within a specified range of wattage.
The company is considering going full eCommerce at a future date, but not this year, so we built their new system on top of an eCommerce platform so they could easily take that step when the time is right. Visitors of the new site will find all the products and details, but without the option to actually order or purchase products. Instead using click to get a “Quick Quote” which auto-fills with the product of their choosing and submits a form to the company’s sales team.
